But, once upon a time....

There were no sites in Bhojpuri language when a man from Ballia decided to launch a Bhojpuri website. He had no computer as his home or office. Web surfing was done with a dial up connection which had no speed. Internet cafe charged exorbitant amount. To add to his problems he has had no web designing education or training!

The purpose of talking all these things not to eulogise him, but to encourage you to start a new website of your choice. If he can do it, you can too!

The pioneers of Bhojpuri related sites on the web were tech gurus. They were, and are still, serving the Bhojpuri community in the best way possible to them. Producing a website in Devnagri script was a hell of a problem for them too. But the man who started Anjoria was a dud, so he had no preconceived notions about what is possible and what is not. He had a vision and a commitment to do what he dreamed. So he tried new and newer ways to do things. First of all he used his common sense and named many fonts in use as his choice. For example; krutidev010, KrutiDev010, Kruti Dev 010, kundli, Kundali, Raj, raj, narad, Narad etc. He hoped that the user or surfer must have one of these fonts pre-installed on his systems. And to a greater extent this worked!

It is said that if you want to do something desperately, nature has its own ways to provide the means for the same. And out came UTF fonts, Takhti etc. And, thus Anjoria was redesigned in its present way. But before this he also tried using pdf format when pdf making was possible using Linux system and Office1.0.

All this is history now. Anjoria is gradually progressing to its predestined place. More and more visitors are giving a visit to Anjoria.

Basic purpose of presenting this site in English is to do what I am already doing on Anjoria, albeit in a different way and for a different target audience.

Anjoria is for Bhojpuri knowing people, whereas BhojpuriAnjoria is for people who want to know about Bhojpuri, learn Bhojpuri, and if possible to read and write in Bhojpuri.

Let me confess once again. I am not a know all of Bhojpuri. I have no technical background, i learn by trial and error. But I do have a love for Bhojpuri. I have working knowledge of English, Hindi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, webdesigning etc. and I think that much is enough to keep working to achieve my dream.
